In 2012, SSDM was engaged by Tonkin & Taylor to provide sports field design and project management services for the playing fields of the two new schools built under a PPP at Hobsonville Point by Hawkins Construction.

The design and development of all stages ranging from earthworks grading to Storm Water planning of the sites at both schools was carried out separately and to different standards due to the projected future use of the playing fields through working with Tonkin & Taylor and Hawkins.

SSDM worked closely with TIC contracting during the physical works to ensure appropriate standards were met and issues were dealt with quickly and effectively while ensuring tight construction deadlines were met, with the Primary school opening in 2013 and the secondary school opening in 2014.
