Project: Matt Creswell appointed as SSDM Senior Manager

SSDM is delighted to announce the appointment of Matt Creswell as the Senior Manager.

Matt will be leading the team of Blair Cornthwaite and Will Bowden.

Matt has focused his career on delivering excellence within the sports turf industry for over 20 years.

Prior to joining SSDM, Matt worked as a senior Consultant for P.R.I and prior to this worked within the Auckland Council Sports Turf Advisory Team for 10 years over across all areas of the sector including operations, planning, capital work programmes and stakeholder liaison and management. This has accorded him an invaluable insight and understanding of the value of community recreation, local government’s responsibilities and challenges with regard to provision of appropriate green space facilities.

Prior to joining Council Matt developed his agronomic skills through a variety of avenues after graduating from Massey University in Palmerston north with a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture.

Major venue turf management at Eden Park, sports turf construction and management with Recreational Services and Consulturf and as a technical specialist with front line customer interface and turf product research and development with PGG Wrightson Turf have helped shape Matt’s career to date.

Matt’s extensive Auckland Council Local and Sports Parks experience accorded him an understanding and knowledge of the requirements for the successful implementation of the Auckland Council’s Sports Field Development Programme.
